I’ve been a big fan of Annerley, the maternity and early childcare professionals, ever since I first found out I was pregnant with little J. It’s where we took our antenatal courses, baby CPR, and the fabulous Hulda was our midwife and by our side every step of the way on the big day. They have a full roster of courses, clinics, and services covering you all the way from conception to toddlers, and have just announced an added service: The Baby Café, a weekly drop-in facility catering to breastfeeding mums and mummies to be.

Those of you who are breastfeeding, or who are pregnant and interested in breastfeeding should listen up to this one: Every Friday starting on November 12, support and advice concerning breastfeeding are yours for the taking at Annerley’s Baby Café. Offering guidance from health professionals in a relaxed, non-clinical, café style environment, the Baby Café is part of a global phenomenon that started in the UK in 2005 and today numbers more than 200 locations around the world – and now it’s headed here to Hong Kong.

As you probably know, according to the World Health Organisation, breastmilk is the optimum nutrition for babies and should be offered exclusively up to the age of 6 months.  Studies have shown that many women would like to breastfeed but feel they do not have the support, and some tend to give up breastfeeding earlier than they wish due to lack of help and difficulty overcoming breastfeeding problems. Enter the Baby Café to the rescue!

The Baby Café at Annerley
Every Friday starting November 12, 12 -2pm
Held at Annerley’s LKF location: 17th Floor, Tak Woo House, 17 D’Aguilar Street, Central, Hong Kong, 2983 1558

*No reservations or appointments necessary – it’s a drop in service
