Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree
There may not be snow in Hong Kong, but that doesn’t mean we’re lacking festive cheer in any way and as always, the city is full of incredible displays! From perfectly decorated and colour coordinated Christmas tree’s and pop-up Winter Wonderlands, to the downright tacky multi-coloured light displays which you can gaze at from Victoria Harbour (my fave), the 852 has truly embraced the season and gone all out OTT. And I love it! Christmas only comes around once a year after all, so why not make a song and dance about it!?
Make sure to check ‘em out, girls, or yule be sorry!
Recreating the excitement and magic of the circus, Landmark has been transformed to mark the festive season. Expect to see a very huggable “Santa Paws” teddy bear, exotic animal figurines, as well as Santa Claus himself reigning supreme as the ringmaster. The figurines even burst into life every 30 minutes, complete with seasonal music and dramatic lighting. Definitely one of our favs!

Following on from 2015’s Bvlgari Snake, the holiday display at Statue Square has gone a little more traditional this year, sticking to a classic and beautifully adorned Christmas Tree! Making for the perfect background for your holiday insta snaps, get down, take a selfie with the fam squad and be sure to bring along a lock to hang on the railings (or buy a charity Love Lock there for $50!) to really complete the festive experience.

Constructed entirely from hundreds of mirrors, the amazing tree and ‘Joy of Lights’ display at Fashion Walk follows the traditional principles of origami. Standing as a gleaming beacon of light in the midst of bustling Causeway Bay, it’s complete with a built in camera to capture your interactions as you walk on by. The pictures taken are projected onto a screen inside of the shopping mall and you can then use them to send holiday greetings to your friends and family by uploading to social media! Say, “cheese!”.

Then step through to Santa’s Grotto and take a photo with the man himself (if there are tears meeting the jolly ol’ man himself, don’t worry mamas, we’ve all been there!), before exploring the personalised gift workshops and pop-up shops on offer! To really complete your experience, don’t miss the enchanting selection of live music performances, that are sure to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

Elements Mall have brought the Roald Dahl classic, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and you’ll find all of his friends and fam are here just in time for Christmas! Recreating the underground Christmas feast scene from the movie, the amazing installation is a unique celebration for the festive season. As a childhood fave of mine, I will be sure to join Mr. Fox for his Christmas party (and get some gift shopping done whilst I’m there!).

If you’re dreaming of a White Christmas, there’s no need to fly out to find snow and cooler climes, as you can find it here in the 852! Get yourselves down to Times Square this festive season to experience the unique and fun-filled spectacular. Inside the snowy chamber you can throw snowballs, try your hand at skiing and even build a snowman.
