Diwali Hong Kong Round Up: Where to Eat, Pray & What to Love During the Hindu New Year

The Indian festival Diwali falls on 26 October this year and Hindus all over the world will be honoring the goddess Lakshmi with family and friends. Here’s our low down on where to eat, pray and what to love during the Hindu New Year.

EAT

PRAY

CELEBRATE
The Indian Chamber of Commerce annual Community Ball will be held on Tuesday, 25October at the Island Shangri-La. (Tickets are HK$1,250 per head, call +852 2523 3877 for more). Kowloon based? The Indian Association and the India Club are throwing a Diwali extravaganza, Bollywood Bride, a musical play. Friday, 7th October Holiday Inn Golden Mile. (Tickets are HK$1,500 per head. Tel: +852 2311 4336). Lunch with the girls? The Hong Kong Indian Women’s’ Club is throwing their annual Diwali ladies lunch at the Aberdeen Marina Club on October 12th. Tickets are HK$550 for members and HK$650 for non members.

LIGHTS
The Candle Company, 11 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central has one of the largest selection of candles, holders and incense in Hong Kong.

DRESS
