If you have a budding singer on your hands, you’ll find Cali’s Books’ “press and sing along” collection the perfect gift. From the special Christmas edition to the Bedtime with Mozart and Other Greats to Yoga With Friends, each book has 6 songs/lyrics that help kids (and parents!) sing along. The yoga book might be our favourite – we love how it includes descriptive instructions and illustrations to suggest ways to include tots in yoga exercises while linking them to music that they are already familiar with. A creative solution we’re all for!

Is there anything cuter than a toddler with their own little backpack? You’re never too young to enjoy a new pair of shoes! Our current favourite shoes for toddlers and up are Native’s Jefferson style ($320). Our children adore the My Hong Kong Alphabet and My Hong Kong Numbers books by Sarah and Luke Garner. Whether they are pointing out the birds in the aviary or counting container ships, the books encourage interaction, both, while reading and when we’re out exploring the city.
