What's OnPost Category - What's OnWhat's On - Post Category - HalloweenHalloween

This Halloween, let the kids go all out at these Hong Kong neighbourhoods which are top-notch for trick-or-treating success. Wear comfy shoes, give the kids the largest bag you can find to stash candy, and let the fun begin!

Hands down, Halloween is one of our favourite holidays. There’s nothing like dressing the family up in the cutest matching costumes, but our favourite part has got to be the actual trick-or-treating. The kids absolutely love going door to door and collecting far too many sweet treats!

Sassy Tip: Hunt down Halloween costumes and props at Pottinger, Fuk Wing and Tai Yuen streets. Hit up one-stop shops like Partyland Central at Wellington Street (personalised costumes available), or get your hands on pre-loved costume bargains from Retykle in Wong Chuk Hang.

To up your chances of coming home with an abundant stash, head to these Hong Kong neighbourhoods that have a reputation for residents who are generous with doling out candy! Choose high-density neighbourhoods with large clusters of apartment buildings which are home to plenty of expats (who usually go all out to celebrate).

5. Starstreet Precinct

Whilst you won’t get the residential trick-or-treating experience at Starstreet Precinct, kids can collect candy from participating restaurants! This is great for parents who need to fuel up at a nearby eatery before letting the kids run wild.

While you’re in the area, why not pop over to the Wan Chai Harbourfront? From 24 October to 2 November, the promenade will come alive with a Spooky Halloween music carnival. Still not enough spooky time? Spend a fun day at ‘The Wickedest Party Calls’, Hong Kong Disneyland’s mega Halloween extravaganza. Catch the new ‘Uninvited! A Villains Takeover Party’ parade, the Let’s Get Wicked musical show, or take photos with characters in their spookiest costumes. Round off the day with Jack Skellington’s The Nightmare Before Dinner, a fab-boo-lous themed dinner. There’s even a trick-or-treat trail, where participants will be given a candy bag to hunt for treats around the park.
